📜 About the Temple of Philae
Philae Temple was originally built during the Greco-Roman era to honor Isis, the goddess of magic, motherhood, and healing. It quickly became one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in ancient Egypt.
In the mid-20th century, rising Nile waters from the construction of the High Dam threatened to submerge the temple forever. Thanks to a monumental UNESCO rescue project, it was carefully relocated to nearby Agilika Island, preserving its magic for generations to come.
Today, this awe-inspiring structure is the perfect stage for one of Egypt’s best night shows.
